BRUSSELS (September 2, 2026) – The European Paper Packaging Alliance (EPPA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marine Thizon as Director for Advocacy, strengthening the Alliance’s policy and advocacy capacity at a key time for the European paper packaging sector.
Before joining EPPA, Marine worked as Senior Public Affairs Manager at HOTREC, the umbrella association representing the hospitality sector in Europe. In this role, she led work on sustainability and food-related policy issues, with a particular focus on the circular economy including packaging.
Her previous experience also includes diplomatic and trade missions, notably those of Australia and New Zealand.
Marine studied political sciences in Brussels and Paris and has continued to build her expertise in sustainability and EU regulatory affairs throughout her career.
